Just before Christmas, early in the evening, an iER member noticed a drunk driver through their erratic behavior. The drunk driver nearly collided with the iER member who then kicked into action, forcing the driver to stop by cutting them off, she then used the iER App to send an alert to the call centre.
The iER call centre informed the SAPS of the situation who then dispatched a rapid response vehicle to the scene where the drunk driver was arrested.
The iER member, Mrs Viljoen, said, “The iER call centre agent was fantastic! He made sure the SAPS were dispatched and then he made sure that the situation was sorted out. The SAPS were also brilliant.
